Welcome to the weekly guide on where to drink in Paris. Every Wednesday, I spotlight three bars including an old favorite worth revisiting, something new (bars, menus, etc) and something ephemeral (guest shifts, special events).
Here’s where to drink in Paris this week:
Revisit an Old Favorite: Bramble Rooftop Bar at Les Ombres, Musée du Quai Branly
Paris has had its share of unpredictable weather this summer, but the forecast shows a few days of sunshine in the week ahead. So, it’s the perfect opportunity to revisit an old favorite, the Bramble Bar on the rooftop of the Quai Branly museum attached to the Les Ombres restaurant. This rooftop offers breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower, making it the ideal spot to soak up the sunshine with a refreshing cocktail in hand.
Fresh and New: India Xplorer Menu at Danico
Danico has unveiled the fourth chapter in its Xplorer series, a collection of menus inspired by global destinations. The latest theme? India. This new menu takes you on a sensory journey through the country’s rich flavors and aromas with a dozen cocktails that highlight ingredients from the region. The cocktails are creative, unique and cover a range of styles from the best selling tequila based KR Market with a beautiful floral touch to the more dry, strong, and bitter 3 Butter Chickens cocktail. The menu is a testament to the team’s commitment to Xplorer menu themes with the team travelling to India to carry out research and months spent in development of the drinks. Learn more about Xplorer menu series in our Paris Cocktail Talk interview with Danico owner Nico de Soto.
Special Event: Bordeaux Cocktail Collective at Little Red Door (23 September)
Mark your calendars for Monday, 23 September, as Little Red Door welcomes the Bordeaux based A Cocktail Collective (ACC) for a special guest shift. The talented team behind ACC bordeaux combines cocktails, cuisine, and conviviality to create a warm and sharing atmosphere. The special shift should draw a good crowd and also serve as a good occassion to get back into LRD, now under new ownership.
