She shares how she helps customers select wines as well as how anyone can feel more confident when wine shopping in France or elsewhere. She also explains how she herself selects wine for the boutique.

Bar Lourinhã (where Alison’s cocktail of the month comes from)
Cocktail of the Month: Bar Lourinhã’s Harlem End
30ml (1 ounce) dark rum
30ml (1 ounce) freshly brewed espresso
15ml (½ ounce) Pedro Ximénez
15ml (½ ounce) Lucano Cordial Caffè
Dark chocolate to garnish
Fill a shaker with ice.
Add ingredients.
Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds.
Strain into a chilled martini glass
Garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
