Welcome to the weekly guide on where to drink in Paris! Every Wednesday, I spotlight three bars including an old favorite worth revisiting, something new (bars, menus, etc.) and something ephemeral (guest shifts, special events).
Here’s where to drink in Paris this week:
Revisit an Old Favorite: Sherry Butt
With Whisky Live just wrapped up this past weekend, whisky is top of mind for many, so there’s no better time to revisit Sherry Butt, one of Paris’ best whisky and cocktail bars. Known for its extensive selection of whiskies from around the world and creative, spirit-forward cocktails, Sherry Butt remains a staple in the city’s drinks scene. Whether you’re a whisky connoisseur or a cocktail enthusiast, this spot offers a perfect post-Whisky Live retreat.

Try Something New: Bar 1802’s New Menu
For something fresh, head to Bar 1802 in the hotel Monte Cristo, long known for its impressive rum selection, which is the largest in France. The bar is celebrating both the arrival of two new bartenders, Donovan Chouari and Paul-Antoine Herbet, as well as the launch of their latest menu Matières. This new menu explores the “flavors” of materials like porcelain, wood, leather, glass and more. Stop in to see what the new duo is doing at this old favorite.
