Love them or love to loathe them, ‘best of lists’ always get a lot of attention. This month, I talked to Mark Sansom of World’s 50 Best Bars to dig a bit deeper on how their list is compiled, what makes it different and get more ‘behind the scenes’ details.
Mark is the Content Editor for The World’s 50 Best Bars as well as The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. He joined the team in April 2019 after five years as Editor of the gastronomic travel magazine Food and Travel. Before that, he was Food and Drink Editor on Men’s Health and News Editor at London’s Squaremeal. Clearly he’s got some credibility when it comes to eating and drinking.
