Cocktails are global business. They are in every capital city and are thriving in second cities around the world. I travel when I can both internationally and within France and it’s always interesting to me to see how different cities approach cocktails. So, this month, I’ve invited friends and fellow bloggers, Mel and Anthony, into the studio to talk about how different cities are shaping their cocktail scenes and what that might mean on a global scale when ranking bars in different ways.

Together Mel and Anthony started the site Le Cocktail Connoisseur, where they compile interviews with bartenders they meet on their global travels to highlight creative people who make the cocktails we love. And they have a new exciting project with Top 500 bars!

Cocktail of the Month: Bamboo

Being out often in bars, Mel and Anthony suggesat regularly ordering low abv drinks – both on trend and tasty. Their low abv cocktail suggestion for this month:

Bamboo

30ml Dry Vermouth
30ml Fino Sherry
2 Dashes of Orange Bitters
2 Dashes of Aromatic Bitters
Garnish Lemon Twist

Add all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled.

Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a lemon twist.

Don’t forget, if you’re looking for more cocktail and drinks talk between shows, head to our site, www.52martinis.com and if you’d like to carry me around in your pocket, download our iOS app, Paris Cocktails.
