Cocktails Spirits, Paris’ biggest bar show, takes place 5 and 6 June at la Maison Rouge. This year marks a full decade for them, so it’s sure to be an interesting and well-attended event. Tickets can be purchased online for 30 Euros per day or 50 Euros for a 2 day pass.
Cocktail Spirits is an opportunity to rub elbows with industry personalities from all over Europe and beyond with a full program of presentations and conferences. Multiple branded stands allow for plenty of tasting opportunities and the Bar des Nouveautes is always a big draw with a large selection of the latest spirits and liqueurs to hit the market. In short, it’s a full and fun two days of cocktail and spirits related activities.
This year, the team is focusing on the latest young generation of bartenders who are carrying on in the cocktail scene, which has dramatically matured over the past ten years here. The P(our) Symposium is focusing on gender with presentations from the likes of local Carina Soto Velásquez of the Quixotic group to NYC-based bar owner Ivy Mix. The Bar Rouge program also looks promising and covers a range of topics by industry stalwarts like Jeorg Meyer of Hamburg’s le Lion as well as newer influential members of the community like Sullivan Doh of Le Syndicat and La Commune.
This season’s show also has an associated Instagram campaign with the hashtag #InBartendersWeTrust.
