Welcome to the weekly guide on where to drink in Paris! Every Wednesday, I spotlight three bars including an old favorite worth revisiting, something new (bars, menus, etc.) and something ephemeral (guest shifts, special events).
Here’s where to drink in Paris this week:
Revisit an Old Favorite: Little Red Door
After changing ownership this summer, Little Red Door has refreshed its offerings while staying true to its roots. Their latest menu, Twisted Mirrors, presents a creative take on familiar cocktails, reimagining classics with seasonal French ingredients and an emphasis on sustainability. The lines still form by 4 PM, and friendly staff greets you with a small welcome drink to set the mood for your experience.
Try Something New: Bar Les Ambassadeurs at Hôtel de Crillon
The new Autumn menu at Bar Les Ambassadeurs, crafted by Bar Director Kevin Rigault, might just be the best one yet. Known for his ability to highlight seasonal ingredients in his cocktails, Rigault has created a menu that feels both adventurous and refined. Expect cocktails based on unexpected flavors like porcini, corn, or gherkin, all of which are deftly handled by the bar team. And while the menu has changed, the opulent decor and luxurious atmosphere remain as the perfect backdrop in which to sip something different.
Catch a Special Event: The Cambridge Public House (13 October)
Mark your calendars for a special event at The Cambridge Public House, where Arina Nikolskaya of the SHIFT.project brings Asan from Domashniy Bar to give a masterclass on the power of community in the bar industry. Afterward, Asan will take over the bar for a guest shift, serving bespoke cocktails that showcase expertise and creativity from his region.
