Throughout its long history, the Marais has been home to successive waves of aristocrats, immigrants, artists, and hipsters. The northern section of this quarter is now exploding with art galleries, independent fashion boutiques, and cool new eateries.

After a bubbly craft beer start we will stroll through everything from ancient Roman ruins to the buildings by the great intellectuals of France, with ample insights on the blossoming beer scene and frequent stops at local vendors.

We’ll visit multiple locations and taste a range of wines that will change with the available selection – anything from Jura Chardonnay to cult cru Beaujolais to sparkling Grolleau from the Loire. The emphasis will be on what are often called vins natures: vibrant artisanal wines made with a minimum of preservatives and a maximum regard for terroir.
