In this month’s episode, we talk to whiskey enthusiast and super fan Martine, who has been regularly attending Whisky Live Paris since 2016 to better understand the salon from a consumer’s perspective, find out her approach and strategies for hitting this intense event three days in a row, learn a few of her favorites from this year, and get a whisky based cocktail of the month that can be adjusted for all tastes and seasons.

Cocktail of the Month for Episode: Smoky Passion
1.5 oz (45ml) Ardbeg Wee Beastie
.5 oz (15 ml) Dolin dry vermouth
.5 oz (15 ml) simple syrup*
.5 oz (15 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
.5 (15 ml) passionfruit juice**
1 eggwhite ***
Add all ingredients to a shaker and dry shake (without ice) for 10-15 seconds.
Add ice to shaker and shake for another 10-15 seconds
Strain into a chilled cocktail or coupe glass
*To make simple syrup mix equal parts sugar and water under sugar dissolves. You can speed this up by heating together slightly in a pan.
**Tip: Change the juice and fruit according to season or preference. For example muddle berries work nicely in the summer.
***For a vegan option can be replaced with Ms Better’s Miraculous Foamer
