After the last few month’s episodes on wine, we’re cracking back into cocktails – specifically how the French drink them at home and new technologies designed to help with your DIY drinks.

To unpack all that, we invited Philippe-Alexandre Bernatchez of Opn into the studio. Philippe-Alexandre is the Senior Marketing Project Manager at Opn. Born and raised in Québec, Parisian by choice, he studied marketing and political science before embracing a career in wine and spirits. Passionate about classic cocktails, historic terroirs and innovative gastronomy alike, he always tries to serve the cause of conviviality by investigating new trends and by creating meaningful experiences. He is currently studying to complete his WSET Diploma and is teaching a class about the culture of wine to Masters students at his alma mater, Sciences Po Paris.

Philippe-Alexandre not only shared his insight on how and what the French drink in their homes, but also how Opn can up your own bartending game. Opn gives home drinkers and bartenders info on cocktails to shake up chez vous + ways to pair snacks with sips. It includes an app, a website and (coming soon!) a connected cocktail library, all designed to up the hometainement game!

If you’re looking for inspiration follow along on their Instagram or Facebook page.
