Spring is just around the corner and we want to get the new season rolling with some good food (prepared for you by an exclusive Parisian chef!) and fine wine, beautiful music, inspiring conversation, all while making sure some very deserving children receive the life-changing quality education they deserve. And all that in a hidden gem of a venue in the Marais…Warm thanks to Nancy and Philippe Vermès for hosting at their photography studio at 11 rue de Castex, 75004 Paris.

to leave us your details and make your payment. An initial donation of €60 covers the entry fee to the event but we are appealing to your generosity for donations beyond that initial fee.

The Spring Cocktail is a fundraising event to support Room to Read’s award-winning Literacy and Girls’ Education Programs. Room to Read seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income communities by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Working in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments, we develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.

Beyond the €60 entry charge, please consider donating. Please help us make a difference: your investment in education will leave a legacy of transformation for children across the globe. The following information is a guide to the impact your investment will have:

* €7000 provides a year of mentoring, life skills education and support to a class of 24 girls

* €2700 provides a teacher and a librarian with the training and coaching they need to successfully nurture young readers.

* €900 trains and supports a librarian so she can inspire and guide young readers.

* €300 gives one girl a year of mentoring, life skills education and support.

* €60 provides 60 local language books.
