🎦DETAILS:

In 2015, in the wake of the shocking Charlie-Hebdo attack, choreographer Nadia Vadori-Gauthier was faced with a climate of violence and sadness. She decided to stay standing and to dance, one minute each day, filming herself and sharing her videos on social networks. The project Une minute de danse par jour is intended to be an act of poetic resistance despite the hardness of the world. Come and discover this choreographic road movie in Paris and meet Nadia on November 24!

🎥THE MOVIE:

Une joie secrète, a film by Jérôme Cassou with Nadia Vadori-Gauthier, a multiform performer, curator of Danser/Résister for Edizioni Textuel in 2018, stems from Une minute de danse par jour, a daily act of poetic resistance, inspired by shock in the aftermath of the terrorist attack at “Charlie Hebdo” in 2015. Every day the choreographer Nadia Vadori-Gauthier, filmed a minute of dance based on current events, terrorist attacks, strikes, protest marches, and even micro-events of daily life. The material collected in various places at various times in Paris over four years has become an immersive documentary, shot close-up with a hand-held camera by director Jérôme Cassou. Dance as a langue des corps is interspersed with testimonies by the choreographer and by the professional artists who express themselves on the great ethical, poetical, philosophical and anthropological questions of our time. – Plot

We will also talk about French movies like “The Last Metro” by François Truffaut or “Peur sur la Ville” with Jean-Paul Belmondo. The story of these famous places and what filmmakers are looking for when they use them will be our main thread. The walk starts at 5pm and lasts for approximately 2 hours.
