Ann Mah in Conversation with Christian Holthausen
February 19, 2019 @ 19:30 - 21:00
Spend an evening with author Ann May as she interviews Christian Holthausen of Champagne house AR Lenoble and talks about her book, The Lost Vintage.
More information from Facebook event below:
In 2015, food and travel writer Ann Mah visited the Champagne house, AR Lenoble, and volunteered at les vendanges, the annual grape harvest. Her experiences at this independent, family-owned vineyard inspired her new novel. The Lost Vintage is a tale about an ancestral vineyard, a lost diary, an unknown relative, and a family secret kept since World War II. Ann will be in conversation with Christian Holthausen – AR Lenoble’s export sales and international communications director – to discuss her new novel, the legacy and future of winemaking in France, and AR Lenoble’s pioneering efforts in the face of climate change. A tasting of AR Lenoble Intense “mag 14”, AR Lenoble Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Chouilly “mag 14” and AR Lenoble Rosé Terroirs Chouilly-Bisseuil will also be offered during this special evening.
Ann Mah is the author of several books, including Mastering the Art of French Eating, The Lost Vintage, and Instantly French. She contributes regularly to the New York Times Travel section, and her work has also appeared in Condé Nast Traveler, the Washington Post, The Best American Travel Writing 2017, Time.com, Vogue.com, and other publications.
Christian Holthausen is the export sales and international communications director at Champagne AR Lenoble. He also writes about wine and wine culture for www.jancisrobinson.com, Decanter, The Guardian and Meininger’s Wine Business International. In 2017, he was shortlisted for Emerging Wine Writer of the Year at the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers Awards.
